Pool Poll #4: Big Weekend Shakes Up the Top 10

A lot of big match-ups from the weekend shook the Pool Poll rankings from top to bottom. At the top there was Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan all making statement wins. On the bottom, Tulsa (2-7) blasted UConn (1-8) while UTEP (1-8) ended the nation's longest losing streak to escape from the bottom spot and sent Rice (1-9) to the bottom. The Owls now own the longest losing streak at nine straight.
This week sees five new teams enter the Top 25 and two new teams in the top ten. There are also seven match-ups this week between Top 40 teams, so more shakeups to come. A conference breakdown shows the Mountain West as the surprise leader, with the Big Ten and the American taking the biggest hits this week.
