In the first play-in game of the day, the Red Flash held on in a feverish finish to eliminate the Patriot League champion American Eagles in the final seconds, 62-60. American erased several deficits including a 27-26 mark at the half, but St. Francis did just enough to thwart any rally. The NEC conference champs will move on to play Dayton in the next round of 64 on Thursday.
