A game that would've been more entertaining played on paper, the Buckeyes (4-0) slung the ball all over the field to dismantle the Green Wave (1-3).
Dwayne Haskins was 21-of-24 with 304 yards and five touchdowns with his favorite target, Parris Campbell, hauling in eight catches for 147 yards and two scores. Ohio State only ran for 151 yards and two scores, but Tulane only had 256 total yards with one touchdown.
Ohio State will face a much more difficult task on the road as they head for "white out" against No. 9 Penn St (4-0).

Illinois (2-2, 0-1 Big Ten) had Penn State (4-0, 1-0) on the ropes as they rattled off 17 unanswered points to seize a 24-21 lead over the Nittany Lions in the third quarter. Penn State responded by scoring 42 straight to win their Big Ten opener.
Miles Sanders ran 22 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns, including a 48-yard burst that gave Penn State the lead for good. Trace McSorely had just 160 yards passing with an interception, but did throw for three scores and added 92 yards on the ground. Ricky Slade had two rushing scores including a 61-yard scamper.
Reggie Corbin had 87 yards and a touchdown to lead the Fighting Illini on the ground. Ricky Smalling had just two catches for 23 yards, but both were touchdowns, and one of those came from receiver Trenard Davis.
Penn State will now gear up for a major showdown at home against Ohio State (4-0). Illinois will take a week off before traveling to Rutgers on Oct. 6.

Turnovers, an awful penalty that led to a safety, and special teams disasters, would make for a pretty terrible day for one team, but Nebraska (0-3, 0-1 Big Ten) managed to do that in one half. The Wolverines (3-1, 1-0) scored early and often to take a 39-0 lead into the half.
The Cornhuskers were held to just 132 total yards of offense and have now lost seven straight and are 0-3 for the first time since 1945. As for Michigan, Karan Higdon returned to action and ran for 136 yards and a score, but wasn't the most efficient back on the team. Ben Mason carried the ball just six times for 18 yards, but found the end zone three times in the win.
Michigan heads to Northwestern (1-2, 1-0) next while Nebraska looks to right the ship against hard to figure out Purdue (1-3, 0-1).

David Blough threw for three touchdowns while the Boilermakers (1-3) defense picked off Anthony Brown four times to stun the No. 23 ranked Boston College Eagles (3-1).
Not only did Purdue bottle up Brown, but A.J. Dillon struggled to 59 yards on 19 carries. Rondale Moore had eight catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns in the win for Purdue.
The Boilermakers look to keep the momentum against Nebraska (0-3, 0-1).

After dropping the ball offensively against Temple last week, the Terrapins (3-1,1-0 Big Ten) used a powerful ground attack to run over the Golden Gophers (3-1, 0-1).
Minnesota had just 263 of total offense while committing three turnovers in the loss. Maryland got 123 yards and a score from Ty Johnson while Anthony McFarland added 112 yards on just six carries with two touchdowns.
Minnesota won't return to action until Oct. 6 when they host Iowa. The Terrapins are the same way as they will travel to Michigan on that Saturday.

The Spartans (2-1, 1-0 Big Ten) had some time to reflect on their 16-13 loss to Arizona State and quickly forgot about it as they outscored the Hoosiers (3-1, 0-1) 21-7 in the first half to ensure another week in the Top 25.
Indiana used a late fourth quarter surge to get within seven, but Jalen Nailor put the game out of reach in just one play. Nailor scooted for a 75-yard score with 3:17 left to stave off another upset.Brian Lewerke and Peyton Ramsey each threw two touchdowns and two interceptions. Whop Philyor had a big game with 13 catches and 148 yards with a touchdown in the losing effort. Sparty was also able to overcome four turnovers in the game.
Michigan St will host Central Michigan (1-3) next while IU heads to Rutgers (1-3, 0-1).

In a game that will likely decide their half of the Big Ten, Iowa (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten) and Wisconsin (3-1, 1-0) slugged it out until the Badgers put up 14 unanswered in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.
The Hawkeyes had a chance to get at least three on their opening drive, but they elected to go for it on fourth and one from the Wisconsin 5-yard line and came up short. That led to an 11 play, 95-yard drive, capped by an Alex Hornibrook touchdown pass. Iowa responded with a 20-yard pass from Nate Stanley to Noah Fant that made it 7-7, which is where is stayed until halftime.
Iowa learned their lesson on their first drive of the second half, taking the points despite having fourth and goal from the Wisconsin 6-yard line. Wisconsin had to punt on the ensuing drive, but a muffed punt gave them the ball deep in Iowa territory where Hornibrook once again threw a red zone touchdown.
The Hawkeyes grabbed the lead on the next drive when Stanley and Fant hooked up for the second time. Wisconsin would come up with a big score as Hornibrook tossed his third touchdown of the game to give the Badgers the lead with 57 seconds left.
Iowa got the ball back with all three timeouts. They would need them on defense as Stanley was picked off by T.J. Edwards. The Badgers still had to get a first down or risk giving the ball back. On third and six, Alec Ingold broke free and scampered for a 33-yard touchdown to finish the game.

Both will take a week off and return on Oct. 6 when Wisconsin hosts Nebraska and Iowa heads to Minnesota where they look to hold on to the Floyd of Rosedale trophy.

Buffalo (4-0) cruised to an easy victory as the MAC claimed another Big Ten opponent. For Rutgers (1-3), its the second straight year they've lost to a member from that conference as Eastern Michigan earned its first ever Power 5 win against the Scarlet Knights last season.
Rutgers was outgained 445-284. The defense did force two interceptions...so that's something.
They'll take on Indiana (3-1, 0-1) next.
