Poor FCS schools. Sometimes it works exactly a Power 5 school wants it to go and it's a long day to get that check. Of this week's scoring onslaught, only one of the games came against an FBS opponent, which is unfortunate for UConn.
5.) Tie: 62 points by Boise St, Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Oregon.
As mentioned all these performances were against FCS schools except Boise St. They out gained UConn 818-193.
4.) Auburn 63-Alabama St 9
At one point, this game was 42-2. The Tigers ran for 429 yards while holding Alabama St to 205 total yards.
3.) Ole Miss 76-Southern Illinois 41
The crazy part is that SIU actually led this game at halftime 38-35. Then the Rebels outscored the Salukis 41-3 in the second half. Jordan Ta'amu had 448 yards and five touchdowns through the air.
2.) Miami (FL) 77-Savannah St 0
This is number two because Savannah St has been beat 129-0 in their two contests this year, so really 77 is to be expected.
1.) Texas Tech 77-Lamar 0
Last week Lamar put up 70 against Kentucky Christian. This week they allowed 77 to Texas Tech. Football is a funny game. Texas Tech out gained Lamar 683-182.
College Football insight from a guy who once covered an 0-12 Eastern Michigan team.
