Riley Neal threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns, and added another on the ground. James Gilbert carried the ball 14 times for 100 yards and a score to help put the Cardinals (1-0) up 35-0 after three quarters.
They'll have to enjoy the win this week as it's off to Notre Dame (1-0) for their first ever meeting with the Irish.

It's obvious the rest of the MAC is shaking in their boots after the Eagles (1-0) dismantling of FCS Monmouth (0-1). Tyler Wiegers, a graduate transfer from Iowa, looked good as Brogan uRoback's replacement, going 18-of-21 for 238 yards and two scores. The Eagles took a 30-3 lead into halftime and never looked back.
They're off to West Lafayette this week to face a Purdue (0-1) that will look to bounce back from a tough loss to Northwestern.

It's exciting anytime you can get a Power 5 school to come to a MAC stadium, but it proved too much of a task as Syracuse (1-0) built a 34-7 lead going in to halftime that the Broncos (0-1) could not overcome in Kalamazoo.
Western Michigan had no answer for Eric Dungey, who ran for 200 yards and a touchdown to go with 184 yards passing and two scores, both to Jamal Custis. Custis racked up 168 yards, but that wasn't even the most impressive performance on the field. D'Wayne Eskridge led all FBS receivers in Week 1 with 240 yards and two touchdowns, including an 84-yard bomb from Jon Wassink.
The Broncos head east to Washtenaw County, not to Ypsilanti, but to Ann Arbor. Perhaps they too can take advantage of Michigan's (0-1) poor time management.

The Falcons (0-1) jumped out to a 10-7 after one quarter, but the Ducks (1-0) responded by dropping 30 in the second quarter to help Oregon cruise to a 58-24 victory.
Jarret Doege threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns with two of those going to Scott Miller.Andrew Clair had 113 yards on 25 carries.
Bowling Green gets a surprising Maryland (1-0) team that knocked off Texas for the second year in a row.

The Golden Flashes (1-0) got off to a great start against Illinois (1-0) pulling out to a 17-3 going into halftime, but the Fighting Illini pulled it together and rallied with 28 points in the second half. The turning point came when Kent State threw an interception that led to a touchdown and then went for it on fourth down and missed, that also led to points for Illinois.
Woody Barrett led Kent State down the field for an eight play 75-yard series that put the Golden Flashes on top once again, but they couldn't answer the next two scores by Illinois. Barrett had 270 yards passing with two touchdowns and another 117 on the ground with a score.
Kent State should feel lucky that they got to see Howard (0-1) play a fellow MAC school, or they could've fallen into a trap this week.

If your brother is Cam Newton, chances are you've probably got some talent running through your blood. That's the case for Caylin Newton, who nearly led Howard (0-1) to another upset of an FBS school for the second year in a row.
The Bobcats (1-0) watched Newton amass 439 yards passing and another 93 yards with four total touchdowns, but were benefited from the four turnovers they forced the Bison into, including two interceptions.
Howard took a 22-17 lead into halftime, but DL Knock quickly gave Ohio the lead by returning the opening kickoff 99-yards. New followed with an interception on his first throw of the second half and the Bobcats quickly turned that into another touchdown.
The Bison responded with a score of their own and nearly caught a break when Quinton Maxwell fumbled, but was able to recover in the redzone. Maxwell eventually ran it in for a 10-yard touchdown to help secure the win.
Ohio will take the week off to reflect before taking on Virginia (1-0).

The Central Michigan (0-1) defense was ready to play and helped the Chippewa's to a 17-7 lead early with a fumble returned for a touchdown. In total UK (1-0) coughed the ball up five times, losing two of them, and threw two interceptions.
But then Benny Snell continued his stellar career with 20 carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Asim Rose added another 104 yards and two touchdowns as well to help the Wildcats escape the upset. CMU was limited to just 255 total yards of offense and no points in the second half.
Central Michigan welcomes a Power 5 school to Mt. Pleasant this coming week. Kansas (0-1) is ripe for the pickings after losing in overtime to FCS Nicholls St.
Image result for northern illinois iowaIowa 33-Northern Illinois 7
Last year the Northern Illinois (1-0) defense put up a performance so strong they were able to upset Nebraska. This year they got that same strong defense in the first half, trailing just 3-0, but the Huskies offense was nowhere to be found against Iowa (1-0). NIU totaled just 211 yards and one fourth quarter touchdown that came when they already trailed 34-0.
It won't get easier as they take on Utah (1-0) next.
Image result for buffalo delaware st footballBuffalo 48-Delaware St 10
The Bulls (1-0) had no interest in making things interesting as they blasted Delaware St (0-1) 48-3 before the Hornets finally found the endzone.
Buffalo forced four turnovers and Tyree Jackeson completed 17 passes, six of those going for touchdowns on just 189 yards.
The Bulls could get a chance to move to 2-0 as they face a Temple (0-1) team that lost to FCS Philadelphia rival Villanova.

The two former MAC foes squared off and the Redhawks (0-1) found themselves in a 21-7 hole at the half that they couldn't climb out of, despite having the ball with a chance to tie on their final drive.
Gus Ragland threw for 357 yards and three scores, but the Miami run game was held to just 87 yards. The Thundering Herd (1-0) also helped their cause by not turning the ball over.
Miami will try and wrestle the Victory Bell away from Cincinnati (1-0), but the Bearcats have won the last 12 meetings and are coming off a strong defensive performance against UCLA.

Image result for toledo vmiToledo 66-VMI 3
The Keydets (0-1) were in for a long day when Toledo (1-0) fullback Cody Thompson started the scoring by catching the punt he blocked and taking it three yards for a touchdown. He'd later catch another score to wrap up the first half at 42-3. The running brigade combined for 213 yards and five touchdowns.
The Rockets will take a week off to prepare the Glass Bowl to host the Miami Hurricanes.
Image result for akron nebraska footballAkron @ Nebraska Canceled.
The weather was so bad, the two teams couldn't get the game started. Akron wasn't able to find any hotel accommodations to play Sunday and now an even nastier storm is brewing between the two schools about paying the Zips the $1.7 million they agreed to come to Lincoln.
