The Golden Gophers (4-4, 1-4 Big Ten) held a comfortable lead going into the third quarter, but Indiana (4-5, 1-5) forced them to rally late to knock off the Hoosiers for their first Big Ten win on the year.
Minnesota led 31-9, but Peyton Ramsey threw two touchdowns in a 3 minute span to start the fourth quarter. The Hoosiers missed the first two-point conversion, but made the second to make it 31-23. With 3:57 left to play, Stevie Scott scored on a three yard touchdown run and Ramsey found Donovan Hale for the two-point conversion to tie the game.
The Gophers answered with one big play as Tanner Morgan connected with Rashod Bateman with 1:34 left on a 67-yard touchdown pass. On the ensuing drive for Indiana, Ramsey was sacked and stripped by Carter Coughlin and Gary Moore recovered to seal the victory for Minnesota.
The Gophers snapped a four game losing skid and look to make it two-in-a-row when they travel to Illinois (3-5, 1-4). The Hoosiers take a week off before welcoming Maryland on Nov. 11.

The Hawkeyes (6-2, 3-2 Big Ten) got all 24 points from their defense and special teams, but it wasn't enough as the Nittany Lions (6-2, 3-2) upended Iowa on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes jumped out to a 12-0 lead after a safety, field goal, and a fake field goal led punter Colten Rastetter to throw a touchdown pass to Sam Brincks. Penn State got a routine score when Trace McSorley found Pat Freiermuth for an 18-yard touchdown, but Iowa extended the lead to 14-7 with another safety. Tommy Stevens ran in a 3-yard score to tie the game and the two teams traded field goals to make it 17 all at the half.
McSorley started the second half scoring with a 51-yard touchdown run and Jake Pinegar added his second field goal for a 27-17 lead for the Nittany Lions after three quarters. McSorley threw another touchdown, but this time it was Geno Smith who returned the interception for a pick-six to bring the Hawkeyes within three.
Penn State added a field goal to push the lead back up to six, but Iowa drove down the field deep inside the red zone. Set up with first and goal from the three, Nate Stanley called an audible that looked awkwardly executed and was subsequently picked off by Nick Scott. The Hawkeyes got the ball back, but were stopped at the Nittany Lions 29 yard line.
Penn State will head to Michigan (7-1, 5-0) for a ranked showdown against a well rested Wolverines team. Iowa will head to Purdue (4-4, 3-2) next.

Without Alex Hornibrook, the Wildcats (5-3, 5-1 Big Ten) showed no respect to the Badgers (5-3, 3-2) passing game and held Jonathan Taylor under 100 yards rushing for the first time this season.
Clayton Thorson threw for a touchdown and ran for two, but also threw three interceptions in the win. Isaiah Bowser carried the load for Northwestern with 34 carries for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Jack Coan threw a touchdown in his relief start for Hornibrook while fullback Alec Ingold had the other score for Wisconsin in the loss.
The Wildcats have a tough draw next when they host Notre Dame (8-0). The Badgers should find their winning ways again when they host Rutgers (1-7, 0-5) next week.

It was a bit of a letdown for Purdue (4-4, 3-2 Big Ten) as they followed their stunning win over Ohio State with a sloppy game in East Lansing as the Spartans (5-3, 3-2) got past the Boilermakers.
Rocky Lombardi started in place of Brian Lewerke and threw for 318 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Matt Coghlin came through big going 3-of-4 on field goals including a 48-yard kick.
Michigan State's defense held the Purdue playmakers in check as receiver Terry Wright scored on a 1-yard touchdown run for the lone touchdown. David Blough was picked off three times in the loss.
Sparty now heads to Maryland (5-3, 3-2) while the Boilermakers host Iowa (6-2, 3-2).

The Terrapins (5-3, 3-2 Big Ten) clearly weren't distracted with all the off the field news about their currently suspended head coach as they throttled Illinois (3-5, 1-4).
Maryland ran for 431 yards and five touchdowns with Javon Leake having a big day with five carries for 140 yards and three scores. Kasim Hill threw for three TDs in the win.
A.J. Bush tossed two touchdowns for the Fighting Illini while Reggie Corbin ran for a touchdown and 155 yards on 18 carries.
The Terps host Michigan State (5-3, 3-2) next while Illinois looks to end their three-game skid with a visit from Minnesota (4-4, 1-4).

The Cornhuskers (2-6) filled their schedule after the Akron cancellation to start the season with a visit from Bethune-Cookman (4-5) and feasted on their FCS foe.
It's now two-straight wins for Scott Frost as he got two passing touchdowns from Adrian Martinez and 110 yards a score on the ground from Devine Ozigbo.
Nebraska now returns to Big Ten play with a trip to the well rest Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1, 4-1 Big Ten).
