It was a blitz by LSU (6-1, 3-1 SEC) as they handed Georgia (6-1, 4-1) their first loss of the season.
The Tigers jumped back into the College Football Playoff  discussion as they bottled up Jake Fromm and forced four Bulldog turnovers. Joe Burrow ran for two touchdowns while Nick Brossette added another on the ground for the Tigers. Cole Tracy had a big day kicking as he was true on all five field goal attempts and made all three extra points as he single handedly outscored Georgia.
Fromm did finish with one touchdown pass and Elijah Holyfield added the Bulldogs other touchdown on the ground. Georgia is not completely out of the Playoff picture yet as they still have several ranked opponent left on the schedule and control their own destiny in the SEC East.
LSU continues their gauntlet as they'll host ranked Mississippi State (4-2, 1-2) while Georgia takes a week off before the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" with ranked Florida (6-1, 4-1).

Vanderbilt (3-4, 0-3 SEC) had Florida (6-1, 4-1) on the ropes, but the Gators outscored the Commodores 24-6 in the second half.
Kyle Shurmur put Vanderbilt on top early with two touchdown passes including a 75-yard hook-up with Ke'Shawn Vaughn. Jamauri Wakefield added a 7-yard touchdown run to make it 21-3. Florida added a Lamical Perine 7-yard touchdown run and a field goal in the final 2:30 of the first half.
The Gators put up the only points of the third quarter when Feleipe Franks found Van Jefferson for a 38-yard touchdown to bring Florida within one. That lead switched hands at the beginning of the fourth quarter when Jordan Scarlett burst through for a 48-yard touchdown to make it 27-21.
The Commodores came within three with a 42-yard field goal, but the Gators pushed the lead back to ten on another Franks touchdown pass. Vanderbilt got another big field goal from Ryley Guay who connected from 53 yards to bring them back to within one score, but Evan McPherson put things away with a 43-yard field goal with 37 seconds to spare.
The game also featured some drama between the head coaches. Dan Mullen and Derek Mason got into a war of words after Mason came near the Gators' sideline to check on a player. This exchange also caused both sidelines to spill onto the field and Vosean Joseph was ejected after he was penalized for the second time in the first half for unsportsmanlike conduct. The two coaches seemed to settle their beef after the game as the two embraced.
Florida takes the week off before heading to Jacksonville for a ranked showdown with Georgia (6-1, 4-1) while Vanderbilt hits the road as they take on Kentucky (5-1, 3-1).

Tennessee (3-3, 1-2 SEC) snapped an 11-game SEC losing streak as they stunned No. 21 Auburn (1-3) as the Tigers have now dropped back-to-back games.
Auburn took the initial lead when Chandler Cox scored on a 1-yard run and then traded field goals with the Volunteers. Jarrett Guarantano tied the game up when he connected with Ty Chandler for a 42-yard touchdown. It stayed that way until Jarret Stidham and Anthony Schwartz hit a home run on a 76-yard score. Brent Cimaglia added a late field goal to close the half for the Volunteers to make it a 17-13 game.
From there it was all Tennessee. Jauan Jennings caught a 25-yard touchdown pass from Guarantano and then the defense quickly added a scoop and score by Alontae Taylor to make it 27-17 Volunteers. Cimaglia added another field goal to make it a 13 point game and the Tigers were stopped at the Tennessee 25-yard line on the next drive. Auburn would get a late score by Seth Williams with 37 seconds remaining, but the Volunteers fell on the onside kick to secure the upset.
Tennessee will try to do the unthinkable when they try to knock off Alabama (7-0, 4-0). Auburn hopes to right the ship against Ole Miss (5-2, 1-2).

Another wild game in the SEC as Texas A&M (5-2, 3-1 SEC) held off a late rally by South Carolina (3-3, 2-3).
The Aggies jumped out 13-0 lead thanks to two field goals and a Kellen Mond touchdown pass. A&M added another field goal to start the second half before Jake Bentley tossed a 22-yard touchdown pass to Shi Smith and then the Gamecocks converted their two-point conversion. It would be deja vu for the Aggies as they watched Bentley throw another touchdown and then follow it with a two-point conversion to tie the game at 16.
Texas A&M added a field goal to retake the lead and then tacked on a lengthy drive that was capped by a Trayveon Williams 3-yard touchdown run to make it a two score game. South Carolina made it interesting as they used just 48 seconds to respond with Bentley's third touchdown pass of the day to make it 26-23. The onside kick would fail and so would the comeback.
The Aggies get a week off before taking on Mississippi State in a potential ranked showdown. The Gamecocks will also get a week off before welcoming Tennessee on Oct. 27.

The Tigers (3-3, 0-3 SEC) hung in for one quarter with Alabama (7-0, 4-0), but the scariest things for the Crimson Tide was Tua Tagovailoa leaving the game with a knee injury.
It still didn't stop Tagovailoa from throwing three touchdowns and Jerry Jeudy feasting on the Missouri secondary for 147 yards and a score on just three catches. DeVonta Smith added four catches for 100 yards and a TD for the Crimson Tide.
Drew Lock threw a touchdown for the Tigers, but committed three turnovers int he loss. Missouri was held to just 212 total yards of offense.
The Crimson Tide will head into a confident Tennessee (3-3, 1-2) while Missouri leaves the SEC for a showdown with the feisty Memphis Tigers (4-3).

The Rebels (5-2, 1-2 SEC) gave Arkansas (1-6, 0-4) a taste of their own medicine after three straight years of the Razorbacks rallying for a win, Ole Miss scored the final 13 points to stun the few Arkansas fans left this season.
The Razorbacks built a 27-17 lead at the end of the first half despite losing quarterback Ty Storey to an injury. The Big play for Arkansas came on a Rakeem Boyd 69-yard touchdown run. They also had two 39-yard passing touchdowns, one by Storey and the other by replacement Cole Kelley.
They kept the scoring going in the second half with Cole Limpert's third field goal of the day, but Ole Miss closed the gap on Jordan Ta'amu's second touchdown pass of the day and third overall, a 66-yard strike to Octavious Cooley. Once again the Razorbacks settled for three, but made it a two score game at 33-24.
In the fourth quarter, the Rebels came within two when Isaiah Woullard scored on a two-yard run. Arkansas was forced to punt, but pinned Ole Miss inside their own five yard line. It would take just seven plays for the Rebels to go the length of the field and it was capped by a Scottie Phillips touchdown to give Ole Miss it's first lead since early in the first quarter.
With history on their side, Arkansas still felt alive, but that ended quickly when Kelley overthrew his intended target and it was picked off by Zedrick Woods to seal the win.
Ole Miss will host the struggling Auburn Tigers (4-3, 1-3) next while Arkansas hosts Tulsa (1-5) in a game between two teams looking for win number two.
