An ugly game that featured seven turnovers, but it was the Broncos (4-2, 2-1 MWC) who escaped Nevada (3-4, 1-2) with a win.
The two teams entered the second half tied at 17 with big plays coming from a John Hightower 88-yard touchdown run for the Wolfpack, while Tyler Horton picked off Ty Gangi for a 99-yard interception return to aid Boise State.
In the second half Brett Rypien found C.T. Thomas for a 36-yard touchdown, but Nevada responded when Gangi connected with McLane Mannix for a 50-yard score. It took just 1:06 for the Broncos to retake the lead as Rypien tossed his second TD, a 41-yard strike to A.J. Richardson. Little known to the Wolfpack, they settled for a 28-yard field goal that made it 31-27 and may have cost them the game.
Nevada's other two drives would end in a punt and then a fumble to end the game.
Boise State will host Colorado State (3-4, 2-1) on Friday while Nevada heads to the islands for a showdown with Hawai'i (6-2, 3-0).

Air Force (2-4, 0-3 MWC) gave San Diego State (5-1, 2-0) a scare, but the Aztecs were able to a get a late touchdown to hold off the upset on Friday, in a game that was delayed over an hour by lightning.
Chase Jasmin got the Aztecs going with a 4-yard touchdown run. He was held in check for most of the game as he had 70 yards on 18 carries. The Falcons wouldn't score until right before the end of the first quarter when they sacked Ray Agnew in the end zone for a safety.
Air Force would miss on the field goal following their short field, but got the ball right back on an interception. That turnover led to a nine play, 80-yard drive capped a 12-yard Ronald Cleveland touchdown. It would be the Aztecs turn to miss a field goal, but on the ensuing drive, San Diego State would block Charlie Scott's punt and return it 19-yards for the go ahead touchdown right before the half.
After a third quarter of punts, Air Force finally found the end zone in the second half when Cleveland ran in for his second touchdown of the day. The Falcons would add two-points when Cleveland was on the receiving end of Isaiah Sanders pass to make it a 17-14 game.
A penalty set San Diego State back at their own 6-yard line, but they were able drive down the field thanks in part to a third and nine conversion that was picked up on a 32-yard scramble by Agnew. 32 was the magic number on a third and five as Agnew connected with Kobe Smith for the first down. On second and fifteen Agnew came up big again with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Parker Houston to put the Aztecs back on top with 6:10 to play.
The next drive for Air Force ended in a punt and when they got the ball back Sanders was picked off by Parker Baldwin. San Diego State held the ball for the final three minutes to stave off the upset.
San Diego State hosts San Jose State (0-6, 0-2) next while Air Force will play again next Friday against UNLV(2-4, 0-2).

The Lobos finally found the end zone when Sheriron Jones found Elijah Lilly for a 23-yard touchdown pass. After an offside penalty on the extra point, New Mexico elected to go for two and converted on a run by Jones. CSU tacked on a field goal to make it 17-11 game.
A big punt return set up a short field for the Lobos as they had the go ahead score early in the fourth quarter on a Jones TD pass. The Rams would actually miss an 18-yard field goal, but Wyatt Bryan would redeem himself with a 26-yard field goal as time expired.
