11 More Join the List of Bowl Eligible, While 6 More Can Make Christmas Plans

The list of bowl eligible is quickly growing as Penn State, Boston College, and West Virginia are some of the bigger schools to clinch. The list of those who don't have to worry about games in December and January is also growing with the additions of regulars like UConn, New Mexico State, and newcomer Arkansas...at least this early in the year. Here's a full look at who's going to have some sponsorship mentioned in the same breath as their moniker:

1.)Image result for bryce perkins virginiaVirginia (6-2)
The Cavaliers have been a thorn in the sides of many ACC teams. Virginia has already matched it's win total from last season.
Best Win: Miami
Bowl Prediction: Quick Lane Bowl

2.)Image result for a.j. dillon boston collegeBoston College (6-2)
The Eagles are a different team without A.J. Dillon, but he came back to help BC bulldoze Miami and become bowl eligible. Much like Ohio State, they know the pain of losing to Purdue.
Best Win: Miami
Bowl Prediction: Independence Bowl

3.)Image result for eric dungeySyracuse (6-2)
Eric Dungey is a touchdown machine and he racked up the TDs in the upset win over NCST that got the Orange Bowl Eligible. It's the first time they've been bowl bound since 2013 when they finished the season 7-6.
Best Win: NCST
Bowl Prediction: Pinstripe Bowl

4.)Image result for will grierWest Virginia (6-1)
Will Grier's Heisman bid took a bump in the loss to Iowa State, but he built it back up in the win over Baylor. The Mountaineers are looking for bigger things like a Big 12 Title and a spot in the College Football Playoff's. They are only currently set to play 11 games due to Hurricane Florence.
Best Win: Texas Tech
Bowl Prediction: Liberty Bowl

5.)Image result for trace mcsorleyPenn State (6-2)
The Nittany Lions could easily be 8-0, but fell apart at the end of their games against Ohio State and  Michigan State and nearly did the same against Iowa. Still Penn State can do some damage with Michigan coming up next.
Best Win: Iowa
Bowl Prediction: Pinstripe Bowl

6.)Image result for j'mar smith la techLouisiana Tech (6-2)
The Bulldogs handed North Texas their first loss of the season and after they play Mississippi State, the schedule should soften up to get to a better bowl.
Best Win: North Texas
Bowl Prediction: New Orleans Bowl

7.)Image result for FIU footballFIU (6-2)
The Panthers are now bowl eligible for the second straight year. It's only the second time they've done that and the first since 2010-2011 under Mario Cristobal.
Best Win: Middle Tennessee State
Bowl Prediction: Bahamas Bowl

8.)Image result for kelvin hopkins jrArmy (6-2)
After years of being an FBS doormat, the Black Knights are going to their third straight bowl appearance.
Best Win: Buffalo
Bowl Prediction: Military Bowl

9.)Image result for brett rypienBoise State (6-2)
Not your typical Boise State season, the Broncos couldn't find the magic at Oklahoma State, but also have an early blemish to San Diego State in Mountain West play.
Best Win: Troy
Bowl Prediction: Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

10.)Image result for zack moss utahUtah (6-2)
The PAC-12's resident nuisance, Kyle Wittingham's Utes are a wrecking ball into dreams, unless they're playing anyone from the state of Washington. Zack Moss is a nightmare for anyone in the second level trying to tackle him.
Best Win: Stanford
Bowl Prediction: Cheez-It-Bowl

11.)Image result for troy footballTroy (6-2)
The Trojans were into beating Nebraska before it was cool. The men of Troy have stumbled respectfully to Boise State and clumsily to Liberty. Their toughest games in the Sun Belt Conference lay ahead in Georgia Southern and Appalachian State.
Best Win: Nebraska
Bowl Prediction: Dollar General Bowl

Adios! Farewell! So Long!:

1.)Image result for chad morris arkansasArkansas (2-7)
I guess Bret Bielema's losing ways still have a lingering effect in Fayetteville. That's now back-to-back seasons for the Razorbacks in the bowels of the SEC.
Worst Loss: Colorado State

2.)Image result for new mexico state aggies footballNew Mexico State (2-7)
The Aggies went to their first bowl game in 57 years last season. This season they're starting a new drought.
Worst Loss: Texas State

3.)Image result for western kentucky footballWestern Kentucky (1-7)
The Hilltoppers finished with a losing record last season (6-7), but still went to a bowl game. They've already matched their loss total from that season.
Worst Loss: Maine (FCS)

4.)Image result for old dominion footballOld Dominion (2-7)
This one is strange. The Monarchs looked terrible most of the time, but stunned a ranked Virginia Tech team and won a bizarre finish against Western Kentucky that featured three untimed field goal attempts.
Worst Loss: East Carolina

5.)Image result for tulsa golden hurricaneTulsa (1-7)
Aside from having a stupid looking mascot, the Golden Hurricane are the only FBS team to lose to Arkansas this season. In 2016 they won ten games. In the 20 since, they've won three. But hey, they play UConn next so maybe they can make it four.
Worst Loss: Tulane

6.)Image result for uconn huskies footballUConn (1-7)
The Huskies have made slight improvements after allowing at least 49 points in the first six games. They actually won one of those contests against FCS Rhode Island 56-49. Since then they had close calls against USF and UMass, but couldn't right the ship. They haven't made a bowl since 2015, but Tulsa's up next so maybe that's like a bowl game.
Worst Loss: UMass
